Getting started
Set up your account, pick a language, and send yourself your first flashcard.
Pinguingo turns vocabulary into a few short messages on WhatsApp every day. You bring (or pick) a list of words, and we drip them to you with native audio, example sentences, and quick prompts you can answer between meetings.
The 5-minute setup
- Create an account. Sign up with your email. No credit card needed for the first 7 days.
- Pick the language you’re learning. Set it from the Getting started screen in your dashboard. You can change it anytime.
- Choose how you’re using Pinguingo. Tell us whether you’re studying on your own, taking classes, or working with a tutor. This changes which controls you see.
- Connect WhatsApp. Link your number so we know where to send messages. See Connect to WhatsApp for the step-by-step.
- Add your first words. Type them in, upload a list, or snap a photo of a class handout. We’ll start dripping them tomorrow.
How drips work
Each day we send you a small batch of words spaced across your message hours. For example, two between 09:00 and 12:00, two more in the afternoon. When you reply easy, normal, or hard, we adjust how often we come back to that word. Words you answer easily fade into the background; words you struggle with come back sooner.
Tune the rhythm
Open Message settings from the sidebar to adjust how often messages arrive, which hours they’re allowed in, and whether you want example sentences and audio. A good starting point is 4–6 messages a day inside your normal awake hours.
If you don’t see anything for a few hours after setup, your message hours may have already passed for the day. Drips resume at the start of tomorrow’s window.
